July 18: 4th SASS New Mexico State Championship Shootout.
Location: Mile marker 10 on Rte 35 off Rte 152..
The Gila Rangers will be hosting their 4th SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) New Mexico State Championship Shootout, "Southwest Border Dispute" at their permanent range in the Mimbres Valley, about 35 miles NE of Silver City. Exact location is Mile Marker 10 on Rte 35, off Rte 152. We expect around 200 shooters plus families from not only NM but from around the country, plus we'll have many vendor booths offering a variety of "old west" products---period clothing, leather, jewelry, arts, etc. In addition to the NM State Champion awards, a competition between AZ & NM shooters will determine if the winner gets to move the state boundary line 50 miles further out-----(loser gets Lordsburg!).
